Edwin R. Warriner, 47, of 80 Wolcott Ave., West Springfield, died Tuesday in Springfield Hospital. He was born May 4, 1914, in Northampton, son of the late Justin B. and Evelyn (Stone) Warriner and had lived in West Springfield for three years. He had been employed as a tire maker at the Fisk Division of United States Rubber Co. for 18 years. Mr. Warriner was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. He leaves his wife, Louise (Reed) [sic, s.b. "Read"] Warriner: a son, Glen R. Warriner of West Springfield; two brothers, Justin B. Warriner of this city and Richard L. Warriner of Huntington; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Bushey [sic, s.b. "Boucher"] of Haydenville, and Mrs. Jean Scott of Huntington and [half-sister] Mrs. Jessie Sanderson of Northampton. The funeral will be held at Dickinson-Streeter funeral home Friday afternoon at 1:30 with an organ prelude at 1. Rev. Dr. H. Hughes Wagner will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Northampton. Visiting hours at the funeral home today and Thursday are 7 to 9 p.m. [Springfield Union, Springfield, Massachusetts, Wed., February 21, 1962]
