Wadim Pavlovich de Bodisco Born in Stavropol, Russia on October 6, 1910. Died in Lutz, Florida March 10, 2008. Mr. de Bodisco graduated from the University of Toulose, France, with a degree in mechanical engineering. Mr. De Bodisco was multilingual and widely traveled; he emigrated to the United States in 1950. He lived in Buffalo, New York, for almost 35 years, and resided in Sonoma, California, Las Vegas and Lutz. While in Buffalo, he was employed by Sawyer-Bailey, Joy Manufacturing, Wittemann Company and Bell Aerospace. He was a lifelong member and judge of the American Philatelic Society and an active member of the Plewacki Post Stamp Society. Mr. de Bodisco was an avid and expert bridge player.

Predeceased by his wife, Sophia in 1985 and his companion, Lelia Feudner in 2004, Mr. de Bodisco is survived by his cousin, his three daughters, four grandchildren and four great-grandchilden. He will be missed by many, including his son-in-law and close friends. Mr. de Bodisco will be interred in the Bodisco family grave site in historic Oak Hill Cemetery in Washington, D.C. where donations may be sent in his name in lieu of flowers.
