The Brantley County native had lived in Wayne County the past 30 years and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was the widow of George Franklin Echols.
SURVIVORS: four daughters, Gwendolyn Dean of Hinesville, Marjorie Darsey of Ludowici, Chiquita Simmons of Varnville, S.C., and Rebecca Dickey of Waycross; two sons, Lacy Echols of Jesup and James E. Echols of Ludowici; 36 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren, 26 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. today at Rinehart & Sons Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Sunday at Rinehart & Sons Funeral Home, burial in Raulerson Cemetery in Pierce County.
