DIED

KAHL - Susan Kahl, formerly residing near Shel-
by, departed this life at the residence of Amos
Sence (her son-in-law) in Howard Co., In-
diana, on the 16 of May, 1881.

She was born in Coumberland county,
Pennsylvania, July 32 1801, was married
to Henry Kahl at the age of 18 years.
Emigrated to Ohio, near Shelby in 1833;
being one of the early settlers. She was
the mother of 13 children, 10 of whom sur-
vive her to mourn her loss. She was a con-
sistent christian and a member of the
United Brethren Church. Mother thou art
gone but we will meet thee on that ever-
green shore where will part no more for-
ever. K.
