Atlas"Bud" Capps was the husband of Agnes Worley Capps. He was the son of John Rufus "Bob" Capps and Mary Woodard Capps of Johnston, NC.

Newport News- Mr. A.F. Capps, 76, died Friday in Riverside hospital.
He was born in Johnson Co. N.C. and had been a Peninsula resident for 48 years.
He retired from Local 540 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union in 1974 after 20 years.
He was a member of Woodmen of the World.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Agnes V. Capps, one daughter, Mrs. Helen Eloise Capps Shinn of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Mrs. Luria Worley, Mrs. Rosa Woodard, and Mrs. Neda Worley, all of Princeton, N.C.; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
a funeral will be conducted at 12;30 p.m. Monday at Peninsula Funeral Home by Thomas J. Davidson. Burial will be in Peninsula memorial Park.
