Mrs. Elilzabeth C. (Elizia) Patterson, 97, Tuscumbia, died Monday, Sept. 6, 1982, at Osage Beach Health Center. She was born March 3, 1885, in Miller County to Alex and Mary Josephine Nelson Clark. On March 25, 1906, she was married at Tuscumbia to Edward Reagan (Rig) Patterson, who died April 2, 1949.
A resident of the county all of her life, Mrs. Patterson was a charter member of the Ulman Christian Church.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her only son, Truman Patterson, and a grandson, Leroy Patterson.
Surviving are a foster son, Morris Clark, San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Jewell Kennedy, Carmichael, Calif.; six grandchildren, Sharon Rush, Omega Vaughn and Betty Keeth, all of Tuscumbia, Barbara Shelton, Kansas City, Danny Patterson, Osage Beach and Maggie Patterson Finlay, Cape Girardeau; two foster grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Esther Patterson, Eldon.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home at Iberia with the Rev. Gene Edwards officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
