Obituary - Alphonse F. Wiederholt, 61, was found dead Thursday morning, July 27th, of natural causes in his room at the Central Hotel, where he had been residing for a number of years.

Mr. Wiederholt was born March 12, 1894, at Kieler, Wisconsin, a son of the late Joseph and Dora Weber Wiederholt. He came to Dubuque about 10 years ago, and was employed as a blacksmith at the John Deere Dubuque Tractor Company. He was a member of Metropolitan Lodge 49, A.F.&A.M.; the DeMelay Consistory, Clinton, Iowa, and El Kahir Shrine, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He served overseas with the Army engineers during World War I.

He was survived by one daughter, Mrs. Al (Dorothy) Anderson, Calawba, Wis., two sisters, Mrs. Val (Elizabeth) Roth, Dubuque, Iowa and Mrs. Blandine Sutton, East Dubuque, Illinois and a brother, Nicholas Wiederholt, East Dubuque, Illinois.

Funeral services were held at the Behr Funeral Home and he was buried in East Dubuque Cemetery in East Dubuque, Illinois. (Dubuque Telegraph Herald (Iowa) July 28, 1955)
