They lived in Iola, Allen Co., KS for a short time before returning to Alva, OK where they had one son, Leo Bob Brannon born in 1917. The marriage ended in divorce by 1919. She taught in rural schools in Woods Co. She later lived in Alva with her father after the death of her mother. In 1947 she married Gilbert R. Murray at Canadian, Hemphill Co., TX. They lived on Gilbert's farm south of Greensburg, Woods Co., OK, and her father lived with them until his death. She and Gilbert entertained young nieces and nephews in their farm home during the summer months, weeks at a time. She belonged to the Lone Star E.H. club. Although a member of the Alva Presbyterian Church, she and Gilbert attended Green Valley Free Methodist Church close to their farm. She cooked wonderful and huge breakfasts which would include oatmeal, fried chicken or quail, gravy, eggs, and fruit which she had canned. Then large lunches/dinners with meats and veggies. Supper was a large glass of milk from Gilbert's cows or a bowl of cold cereal. The last two years of her life she lived at the Share Convalescent Center due to health problems. Her services were conducted at the Green Valley Free Methodist church.
