Mr. Hobson was a native of Tulsa, Okla., and resided in Syracuse for 25 years. He received his master's degree at Syracuse University and was employed as an accountant by S.U. for 20 years.
He was a member of James Street United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Theresa S.; his parents, Robert and Helen Hobson of Hammondsport; a brother, Randy of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Pam Ketcham of New York and Kathy Bleyle of Maryland; and several nieces.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
