Clarence Carter, 58, died Saturday at Biloxi Hospital where he had been a patient for several hours.
He was a native of Vancleave where he had resided for a number of years. He was employed as a shipfitter at Ingalls and was a member of the Boiler Makers Union.
Funeral services were held from Fails Chapel in Moss Point Monday with the Rev G. A. Broadus officiating.
Interment was in Griffin Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Tillman, Burton Roberts, C. F. Rogers, Fred Carter, Angus Roberts and Leo Byrd.
Survisors are his widow [Pearlie Carter], one son, Clarence Bruce, Moss Point, and a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Tisdale, Moss Point; two brothers, Leroy of Moss Point; and Marshall L., Dickinson, Tex.; his mother Mrs. M. L. Carter, Kreole, and three grandchildren.
