Sims was born Nov. 3, 1896, in Gainsville (sic - should be Gainesville), Mo., and died today at Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha following a lengthy illness.
He came to the Apache area in January 1915....
He married the former Marie Wartchow Oct. 11, 1921, in Anadarko.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and one brother.
Survivors include his wife of the home; three sons, Claud of Apache, Carl of Midwest City, and Joe of Moore; three daughters, Naomi Wilson and Phyllis Alberty, both of Oklahoma City, and Mary Hanson of Sand Springs; two sisters, Laree King of Apache and Elsie Mitchell of Fletcher; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery under direction of the Crews Funeral Home.
