Mr. Dennis Sims Frye, age 81 of Mexia,AL died Wednesday, April 8, 2009 in a local hospital. Mr. Frye was a native and life long resident of Monroe County,AL, he was a retired employee of Alabama Power for 37 ½ years. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Frye, of Mexia; two daughters, Dottie (Joe) McCollough, of Monroeville, Mary (James) Brown, of Mexia, one granddaughter, Tammy (David) Lemons, of Monroeville; two great grandchildren, Memory and Thomas Lemons, Two sisters, Dot (Fred) Ward, of Monroeville and Lucille Burkett, of Camden,AL. Graveside services will held Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 10:00AM at the Old Salem Baptist Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne McMillian officiating. Burial will be in the Old Salem Baptist Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be 1-hour prior to services at Johnson Funeral Home.
