Palmer Gene Vance Sr., 73, of Oil Springs, died Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at his residence. Born Feb. 18, 1932, in Boyd County, he was a son of the late Henry Lacy and Ella Cottle Vance. He was an automobile salesman and a veteran. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Blanton Vance of Oil Springs; and two sons. Funeral services were Saturday, April 2, at First Christian Church, Paintsville, with Terry Jones officiating. Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
