Alfred Karau
Alfred H. "Fritz" Karau, 89, 2525 W. Main St., Merrill, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.

Fritz was a dairy farmer in Athens and also was employed at the Athens Co-op.

Survivors include his wife, Frieda (Zunker) Radloff Karau, Merrill; his son, Alan (companion, Nancy) Karau, Marshfield; one stepdaughter, Sandra (Jim) Mahn, Merrill; two stepsons, Gary (Lola) Radloff and Bruce (Connie) Radloff, all of Athens; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Lau, Fond du Lac, and Irene Oldenburg, Melrose Park, Ill.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at the church.

Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.
