Pauline Johanna Borstelman was born April 7, 1898 daughter of Frederick Borstelmann and Emma (Rabe) Borstelman Buchhop of Napoleon Township. She married Raymond Federick Musshel on February 3,1917. In 1918 they moved to the land at Bostelman's Corners. Pauline died of a heart attack on May 5, 1958 at the age of 60. They are buried in Union Chapel Cemetery just west of their home on State Route 6, (also known as Bostelman Cemetery).

They had two children Robert Raymond Musshel and Kenneth William Frederick Musshel.
