From an illness that dates back to last October, Mrs. A. L. Brunson, beloved by a large circle of friends, died at her home on East Beach last Saturday night at about 8 o'clock. At the time of her death the two daughters of the deceased, Miss Jane Brunson and Mrs. Charles Le Sassier, were at her bedside. The remains of Mrs. Brunson were carried to Bay St. Louis yesterday morning, where interment took place yesterday evening at 4 o'clock, Dr. H. H. Sneed, rector of St. Peters' Episcopal Church, this city, officiating.
Mrs. Brunson was born in Philadelphia, her father being Alfred Ingraham and her mother Miss Elizabeth Meade, a sister of Major General Geo. G. Meade the hero of Gettysburg. Miss Jane C. Ingraham spent her childhood and young womanhood in Port Gibson, Miss., and married to Dr. A. J. Rowan of Claiborne county. By this marriage she leaves one child, now the wife of Charles Le Sassier of New Orleans. Later she was married to A. L. Brunson of New York, and of this marriage leaves one daughter, Miss Jane Brunson, now a resident of Gulfport. Mrs. Brunson was active in working for the cause of the Confederacy.
