Mrs. Gill Succumbs In Westerly, R. I.
Mrs. Josephine (Wright) Gill 85, of 119 Warren Ter., Longmeadow. widow of James M Gill, died at Westerly, R. I. Hospital Monday.
She was born in this city Oct. 28. 1879. the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Mary (Case) Wright. Her father was a former president of the Springfield Fire and Marine Insurance Co.
Mrs. Gill had lived in this city the greater part of her life and was a member of the South Congregational Church and the Colony Club.
She leaves a son, Clyde of Longmeadow; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Whittemore of Longmeadow and Mrs. Marjorie Desillier of Mystic, Conn.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at the chapel in Springfield Cemetery. 171 Maple St., Wednesday at 2 p. m. Rev. Frederick F. Driftmier, pastor of South Congregational Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Springfield Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
