This is my great grand uncle on my Mom's side. He was my great grandma's brother. He left Pleasant Ridge Township, near Wing, Illinois to homestead in Nebraska as a young married man. His parents went with him, and a brother also left Illinois. His sister stayed behind with her husband and remained here all her life. She was my Mom's grandmother.
