Orvel G. Hagen, 78, 3128 Prial Ave., died at 1:45 p.m. Monday, March 25, 1985 in Rockford Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Born October 14, 1906 in Princetown, MO, son of Benjamin and Edith Graham Hagen. Lived six years in Rockford, coming from Lombard, where he lived 40 years. Married the former Luella M. Cramer in Rockford, June 3, 1933. Formerly employed as cost accountant by Taylor Forge, Cicero. Member First Methodist Church, Lombard. Attended Chillicothe, MO Business College.

Survivors include his wife, Luella, Rockford; a son Richard, Anchorage, Alaska; two grandchildren, Michael and Michelle; a brother, Roscoe Hagen, Corydon, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Vera Piper, Green Valley, AZ; and Mrs. Delores Standerwick, Carpentersville; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents and a sister, Helen Hill.

Services at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 28 at Morrison-Genandt Funeral Home, 506 W. Merchant St., Byron, with the Rev. Dwight E. Borden, pastor of United Church of Byron, officiating. Burial in Lightsville Cemetery. No visitation. Memorials to American Heart Assocation.
