George Allison DeLong, 68, well-known Delaware Coutny resident died at 7:15 o'clock last night at his home, 1110 East Ninth Street, after an extended illness. He had been a resident of Gaston but had spent most of his life in or near Muncie. Mr. DeLong had been employed by the Ball Brothers Company for twenty-three years and had worked for Indiana Bridge Company for fifteen years.
Surviving are three sons, Oden and Orville DeLong of Muncie, and Jesse DeLong of Alabama; three daughters, Mrs. Dalton Coy of Albany, Ind., Mrs. Garnet Schwierking and Mrs. Harry Moore, both of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Smiley of Matthews, and Mrs. John Horner of Upland; eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The body was removed to the Meeks mortuary.
