ANDOVER - Irene M. (Gaudet) Gaudet Gallant, 50 Rattlesnake Hill Road, died on a Wednesday at the Lahey clinic in Burlington.
Mrs. Gallant was active in the flea market circle in the Merrimack valley and southern New Hampshire areas for the past 20 years. Around the circle she was known as "Yaya."
She was born in Andover and attended St. Augustine Church.
She was the widow of John Gaudet and is survived by her husband, Francis gallant; a son, John Gaudet; daughters, Louis Guay and Cheryl Guay; her mother, Rose (Peters) Perry; brothers, Melvin Gaudet and Milton Perry; sisters Gen Spagenberger, Edna Powell and Norma McShehy; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass was celebrated the following day at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church. Burial was at St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends were invited to call this day from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home, 33 Pearson St.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lehey Clinic, 41 Mall Road, Burlington, Mass.
