A descendant of Rurik of Russia (Grand Prince of Novgorod, (born about A.D. 830, d.879), "Princess Anina Gregorievna Gagarin-Sturdza-Puech", was a daughter born to Prince Gregori Evguenievitch Gagarin-Sturdza (1840-1903) and Princess Anna Mlodetzky (1837-1909), on the 13th of June 1868, in Odessa, Ukraine. She was first married to Alexis Ivanovitch Minitzky, with whom she bore one child, a daughter: Helen Minitzky (1893-1977).
