Mrs. Fannie A. STANTON, 84, Athens, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday at Woodlawn hospital after an illness of several years.
Mrs. Stanton was born Nov. 17, 1893 in Miami county to Samuel and Sarah BERGER. She was a 47-year resident of Athens, moving from Miami county. She was married May 12, 1914 at Mexico to Edgar C. STANTON, who survives. She was a member of the Athens United Methodist church and the Sunshine Circle.
Surviving with the husband are two sons, Edward L. [STANTON], Athens, and Charles E. [STANTON], Bradenton, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Don (Caroline) RHODES, San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Ethel CHAPMAN, Peru. A sister preceded in death.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Sheetz funeral home, Akron, with the Rev. Wayne JOHNSON officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Hope cemetery, Athens. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today.
