From the Red Wing Daily Republican, August 20, 1919:

Dies in St. Paul Hospital -- Joseph Bruber resident of Eggleston passed away at St. Paul this morning, death being due to a nervous breakdown. He is survived by three daughters and one son. The remains will be brought to Eggleston Saturday morning and burial will take place at Mount Carmel cemetery at Burnside. Further particulars will be published later.


From the Red Wing Daily Republican, August 23, 1919:

Funeral Services for the late Joseph Bruber, former Burnside resident, who died at St. Paul Wednesday morning, were held yesterday morning at 10 o'clock at the Mr. Carmel cemetery, Burnside, where interment was made. Owing to misunderstanding through telephoning the funeral had been announced for today. Rev. Greenwood of Hastings officiated. The pall bearers were B. Nolin, Frank Bunch, Charles Lindell, Axel Anderson of Wisconsin, Emil Magnuson and O. G. Harlis.

Mr Bruber was born in Red Wing and was 50 years of age at the time of death. Surviving are four children, two brothers, five sisters and several nephews and nieces who were all present at the funeral.
