Cordell Goodrum Lee , 82, the former owner of Mobile Dispatch, died Sunday at a local hospital after a brief illness. She and her late husband, Floyd Lee , started the area's first mobile telephone company. A resident of Irvington, she was a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church in Bayou La Batre.
She is survived by four children, Carl Butler Sr. of Mobile, Walter Butler of Atmore, Charles Sprinkle of Mobile and Sherri Sprinkle of Irvington; two brothers, Jerry Goodrum of Irvington and Anthony Goodrum of Bayou La Batre; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements will be announced by Serenity Funeral Home. Interment is planned at Oddfellows Cemetery
