Died In Ruskin, Fla.

James Monroe Haman, 75, died Saturday, June 23, unexpectedly in Ruskin, Fla., at the home of his sister, Mrs. Richard Pitts where he was spending some time.
Mr. Haman was a native of this
county, born October 12, 1887 the
son of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. P.Haman, well known pioneers of
this section. He was engaged in farming and the turpentine business in his active years and held in high esteem by many friends. Since his retirement from active business he has visited often in Florida with his daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Lasseter.

He was married in early life to Miss Jane Pate. To this union were born the following children: one son, Rev. Bennett Haman, Madera, Cal., two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Lasseter of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., M. Billy Plowden of Atlanta; one brother, Perry Haman of Tifton; sisters, Mrs. Susie Sellars, Ashburn;- Mrs. 0. L. Hobby;- Amboy; Mrs. Carrie Mitchum, Ludowici; Mrs. Elizabeth Taylor, :Tampa, Fla., Mrs. Richard Pitts, Ruskin, Fla., Mrs, Mark Wheeler,Palmetto, Fla.; Mrs. Emmett Johnson, Jacksonville, Fla., and eleven grandchildren..
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p. m. at the chapel of the Perry Funeral Home. Elder J. R. Stallings officiated. The Nail Scarred Hand was sung by Mrs. O.L. Hobby and Miss Dorothy, Lamb, accompanied by Mrs. Annelle T. Murphy. Interment was at the Rainey cemetery near Amboy.

Pallbearers were nephews: Earle Wheeler, Luther Hobby, Clarence Taylor, Randolph Haman, Walter Sellars, Horace Sellars.
