Ruby Callahan, 95, died Monday, May 11, 2009, in Lindon, Utah. She was born March 7, 1914, in Mink Creek, Idaho, to Ervin Hyrum & Laurain Peterson Larsen. Ruby married William F. Callahan May 21, 1949, Reno, Nevada. They were sealed in the Logan Temple July 19, 1957.
Ruby attended Preston High School, Idaho. She worked and retired, after 24 years, at the National Can Corporation. She loved to travel and enjoyed taking family vacations. She took great pride in caring for a beautiful yard.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings. Ruby and William served a mission to the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Mission. She especially loved serving in the Primary.
She is survived by her husband, William, daughter & son-in-law, Sharon & Phillip Ahlstrom, Lindon, Utah, sisters, Thelma Price, Longview, Washington, Radia Camp, Ogden, Utah and Joyce (Doug) Palmer, Ogden, Utah. Also, seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Melroy Larsen and Dennis Larsen, and her sister Massell Larsen.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009, at the Lindon Stake Center, 1050 East 100 North, Lindon, Utah. Family and friends may call from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be held at the Lindon City Cemetery.
