Gerald T. Wizorek, known as Jerry Wizorek, of Pinconning, Michigan, age 80 passed away Sunday October 14, 2007 at Arbor Hospice Residence, Ann Arbor, Michigan with his family at his side following a brief illness.
Gerald Wizorek was born in Ionia, Michigan on November 30, 1926 to the late Michael Wizorek and Olive (Barrett) Wizorek. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army surviving during WW II.
He married the former Elizabeth (Betty) Briggs on June 14, 1952 at St. Michael's Church. She preceded him in death on September 7, 2004.
Jerry was retired from Gus Matonek Trucking, a member of St. Michael's Church and Pinconning K of C's. He served as a Pinconning City Council member and was a member and Past Commander of the Pinconning VFW Post.
He was survived by 2 daughters Janice & Gregory Davis and Patrice & Rodney Filcek; grand children Kensey, Brett, and Jalynn Filcek; Brittany and Briggs Davis; great grand daughter Amani Rae.
He was predeceased by a son Briggs in 1986 and a brother Michael Wizorek.
