Fern E. Keough was born June 8, 1921 in rural Ventura, Iowa the daughter of William and Alvina (Boehnke) Pueggel. She attended and graduated from Ventura High School. She was married to Clifford Keough on September 1, 1941 in St. Joseph, MO. They lived in Dougherty, Clear Lake, and moved to Mason City in 1948. She loved taking care of her home and also her one child, Richard. Fern enjoyed tending to her flowers and her garden in her younger years. She was known for her excellent cooking and was a talented embroiderer. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her son, Richard (Dick) Keough of Mason City; grandson, Richard Keough Jr. Fresno, CA; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Magdaline Pueggel; brother, Luther Pueggel; daughter-in-law, Deanna Keough, and many other relatives.
