A native of Choctaw County, Ms. Staples was a retired teacher. Ms. Staples was a member of Concord Baptist Church. Ms. Staples died on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Choctaw County Nursing Center in Ackerman.
Survivors include son, Thomas Staples of Lawrenceville, GA; daughter, Kay Taylor of Jackson; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
Family suggests memorials to Broken Wings Ministry of Choctaw County.
Coleman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
