Joseph Dockey died of "bilious fever" at Aquia Creek, VA while serving as a Private(Trooper) in Co.L, 16th Regiment PA Cavalry. Death recorded in "History of the 16th Regiment PA Cavalry. for the year ending October 31st, 1863" compiled by Regimental Adjutant, 1st Lt Charles H. Miller, 16th PA Cavalry.
