Martha J. Self was born July 27, 1921 in Yale County, Ark., to Charles and Ida Eugene Hall and she grew up in Oklahoma. She was married in 1937 in Holdenville, Okla., to Floyd B. Self, and they were married 31 years. Martha worked for Land O' Lakes frozen food company as well as being a homemaker while raising her seven children. She and her family resided in the Portland area. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and canning. Her children and grandchildren were most important to her.
She is survived by her daughters, Wilma Christansen, Ellen Wheeler, Loretta Langely all of Klamath Falls; sons, Johnney Self of Clear Lake, Calif.; Andrew Self and Donie Self, both of Portland; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Charles Self.
