Catherine Bell Smith, 90, wife of the late George Smith and the late Harry Bell, passed away Saturday morning, July 25, 2009, at her residence in Quinby. Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Moody W. and Margaret Sarah Powell Fluhart.
Survivors include three sons, Stuart P. Bell and his wife Jo Ann of Wachapreague, H. Waymon Bell and his wife Mary Jennings of Belle Haven, and Maurice E. Bell and his wife Diane of Quinby; three sisters, Viola F. Warren of Quinby, Ruby F. Mears of Onley and Edna F. Williams of Dover, DE, seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Margaret F. Trader, and Emmie Bell, and two brothers, George Fluhart and Bill Fluhart.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 27, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore, with Pastor Tom Durrance officiating. Interment will follow in the Quinby Cemetery.
Family will join friends at the Doughty Funeral Home Sunday evening from 7 to 8:30.
