JUNCTION CITY -- Genieva M. Holm, 95, Junction City, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, at a Junction City nursing home.

Mrs. Holm taught school in rural Geary County in the 1930s and 1940s, and she later was a special order clerk at the Fort Riley PX.

She was born May 11, 1904, in Junction City, the daughter of James R. Ross and Mine Genieva Reynolds. Her mother died while she still an infant, and she was raised by Gus A. and May R. Harris. She graduated from Junction City High School in 1925, and she attended Normal School in Emporia. She lived most of her life in the Junction City and Dwight communities.

Mrs. Holm was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Dwight and the Presbyterian Women's Association. She was a former member of the Dwight Research Club and a Home Economics Unit in Morris County.

She married Leslie A. Neeland in 1927. They were divorced. She married Harold A. Holm in February 1951. He preceded her in death in June 1993. A daughter, Nadine A. Wilson, died in March 1999.

Survivors include a daughter, Lois Galliher, Junction City; a son, Robert Neeland, Rossville; a sister, Anna Ruth Johnson, Dwight; a stepson, Harold M. Holm, Johnson City, Texas; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church in Dwight.

Burial will be in Dwight Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 243, Dwight, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
