Leon N. Gallant of 9 Boston Road, Andover, died December 22, 1968, a Sunday afternoon, at his home following a short Illness at the age of 68.

He was born in Prince Edward Island, Canada, September 17, 1900 and was employed as groundskeeper at the North Andover Country Club. He attended St. Augustine's Church, Andover.

He is survived by his wife Madeline (Gallant) Gallant; a son Roland Arsenault; a daughter, Edna, wife of William McGregor; two brothers, John Gallant and Glorice Gallant of Prince Edward Island; four sisters, Lillian, wife of Benjamin LeClair, Mrs. Celia Olson, Mrs. Alice Fitzgerald and Mrs. Edna Twohig; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held on the following Thursday from the M.A. Burke Memorial Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover with a high Mass of requiem in St. Augustine's Church, Andover at 9 a.m.

Burial was in the St. Augustine's Cemetery.

Friends were invited to call at the funeral home Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
