On 23 May 1909, Felipe Santiago Quintana (B: 12 May 1909, Los Cuarteles) was baptized in La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de La Cañada. His parents were Blas Quintana and Ramoncita Esquibel. He was widowed from Silviana V. Montoya. He was predeceased by sisters Susie Q. Maestas and Bersabe Bustos; brothers Antonio, Federico, and Teodoro. He was survived by sister Carmelita Naranjo of Española, a niece Sylvia Romero of Cuarteles who considered him a grandfather, and other friends and relatives.

Santiago resided in La Puebla. A self-employed farmer, he was known for selling his homegrown produce. For children he sometimes would be generous and give them one of his sweet melons.

Funeral services were 23 Feb 1998 in La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with Father Maria Blanch officiating. Burial followed at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mike Naranjo, Carlos Naranjo, Jerry Archuleta, Michael Armijo, Billy Varela, and Ross Quintana.
