Grim Reaper Called Wife and Mother Away Last Night.
Death invaded the home of Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Meek, 115 South Fifth street, and brought sorrow and grief of the deepest kind that can be experienced by human mortals, when the wife and mother Mrs. Meeks, passed from her earthly career, to her new realm.
Death came at 11:30 o'clock and as the result of a serious surgical operation performed on her Monday in Mercy hospital. She had been ill for about a month, and was removed to the hospital Sunday evening.
Besides her husband, she leaves five children to cherish her in sacred memory, two of whom are at home, Burl and Marjorie. The other three are married daughters, Mrs. George Smith and Mrs. Roy Branine, both of this city, and Mrs. Byron Whaley, of Fairfax, Okla.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Baptist church, conducted by Rev. W.M. Gardner of the Presbyterian church. Intermen will be made in Mercer cemetery.
