Heidi was a devoted mother to her son, Tyler Gordon Benson and provided loving and tender care to him throughout his life. Tyler preceded her in death at the age of 4 1/2 .
Heidi graduated from Brigham Young University and was a Registered Nurse for over 20 years. She was a loving, giving caretaker and her service and conscientious care was appreciated by many. Her family and patients were her foremost priority.
She was born March 10, 1966 in Alexandria, Virginia and grew up in Virginia, Kentucky, and Utah.
She is survived by her parents Reed Amussen Benson and Mary May Hinckley Benson, as well as eight siblings, Holly H. Benson Holden, Taft Benson, Heather H. Benson Stephenson (Mark), M. Mark Benson (Kristen), Lucilla H. Benson Rhees (Ryan), Joshua R. Benson (Brandi), Lynna H. Benson Stewart (Jared) and Sarah D. Benson. She is an adored aunt to 32 nieces and nephews. Her acts of love, kindness, charity and her giving nature will be sorely missed.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Pleasant View Third Ward Chapel, 650 East Stadium Avenue, Provo. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the Church.
Interment will be in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah.
