MISS MATTIE JONES IS LAID TO REST -
Final rites were held this morning at eleven o'clock at the First Methodist Church for Miss Mattie M. Jones, widely-known Decatur resident, who passed away Sunday at Decatur General Hospital where she had been a patient for the past year. The funeral cortege left the residence, 315 Lafayette Street, at 10:45 a.m.
Dr. R.M. Howell conducted the services while Brown directed interment in City Cemetery.
The deceased is survived by one brother, Frank B. Jones of Lexington, Ky; one niece, Mrs. Russell Green; and three nephews, Richard Jones, Lexington, Ky; Travis Callahan, Montgomery; and Frank Callahan, Portsmouth, Virginia.
Pallbearers were Redus Collier, Julian Harris, Jim Todd, James H. Johnson, F.O. Smith, and E.E. Hargrove.
