Amada, of San Pedro, passed away at the family home. She was survived by her husband Vicente; daughters: Angie García, Mary Bustos, Pauline Duncan, all of San Pedro; and Therese García of Albuquerque, Gloria Archuleta of Santa Cruz, and Evelyn Martinez of Española; sons: Salomon of San Pedro, David and Elmer of Ranchitos; sister Dora Trujillo of San Pedro; 17 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
Funeral services were on 23 April 1998 in La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial was in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Santa Cruz. Pallbearers: Aaron Archuleta, Eric Archuleta, Leonard Bustos, John Martinez, Vincent García, Sammy García, Daniel García, and Charles García. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren: Luella Bustos, Andy Martinez, Jeff Martinez, Jacqueline Griego, Robert García, Anna García, Linda García, Yolanda García, and Elmer García.
