OBITUARY Iron River Reporter Sep 8 1936 “Bouchard Rites Held Tomorrow: Services For Veteran Mine Worker Will Be Held At St. Agnes Church”
Funeral services will be held at 9 o’clock tomorrow morning in St. Agnes church for Arthur Bouchard, 67, Iron River, who died Saturday. The Rev. Fr. George Dingfelder will officiate.
Mr. Bouchard, who was born on April 26, 1869, was one of the veteran mine employees in this district. He left his birthplace, Batiscan, Canada, when he was 19 years old and came to the United States. He had lived in Iron River for 46 years and spent most of his time working in the woods and mines about the city.
Previous to March, 1935, the time of his retirement, he had been employed for 18 years by the M.A. Hanna company as the caretaker at the residence of G.M. Cannon, assistant general manager. He was stricken at his home at 729 Fourth avenue at 10:30 a.m. Saturday and died of heart failure and complications. He was a member of Council 2400 of the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving Mr. Bouchard are his wife Anna; a son Arthur of Iron River; a brother Adolph, also of Iron River; and two daughters, Mrs. Charles F. Bebeau, Muskegon, and Mrs. Roy Dunn, Saginaw. Mrs. Dunn is too ill to attend the funeral. In addition to two stepsons, A.J. Papin, Marenisco, and Fred L. Papin of Iron River, there are nine grandchildren.
Burial will be at the Resthaven cemetery.

With many friends and relatives in attendance, the funeral services of Arthur Bouchard, an early resident of the community, were held at St. Agnes church Wednesday morning with the Rev. Fr. J. Dingfelder officiating at the mass. Assisting were the Rev. Fathers Albert Treilles and C.J. Adasiewicz.
Those attending the funeral from other localities were: Mr. and Mrs. H. Chaput, Hardwood; Mrs. Peter Bebeau, Miss Lucille Bebeau and Charles Mueller, all of Rockland, Mich.; Mrs. E. Cosegrove, Detroit; Mrs. Napoleon Pepin and daughter, Ishpeming; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Porter, Ishpeming; Joseph Pepin, Ishpeming; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nault and daughter, Sagola; Charles Beneau [Bebeau], Muskegon and A.J. Papin [Pepin], Marinesco.
Burial was in the Resthaven cemetery.
