They were parents of at least nine children: Vincent, married five times; Parrish, husband of Mary "Polly" Duncan McManus; John, who married Sarah "Sally" Whitlock; Margaret, who first married George William Rousey and after he died Eusuriah "Ezra" Poland; James, husband of Elizabeth R. Cameron; William, who married Harriet Hettick; Nancy, wife of Thomas Whitlock; Elizabeth, married to Isaac Hull; and Porter, husband of Nancy Jane Gunn. Supposedly, there were two more children: Benjamin, born about 1796, and Mary Emily, born about 1804, but no further records have been found for them.
The family was living in Alabama by 1811 and then Tennessee by 1817. Their final move to Illinois came about 1830. Four of their sons: Vincent, Parrish, William and Porter, and three daughters: Margaret, Nancy and Elizabeth, moved to Illinois with their parents.
