Jonas Burrill passed away at his
home two miles west of Frankfort,
Kansas at 4:00 a.m. on January 18,
1902 at the age of 82 years, 9
months and 8 days. He was a great
suffer with kidney disease.
With the death of Mr. Burrill,
Marshall County has lost one of its
oldest settlers. Mr. Burrill had lived
on the farm that was his home at the
time of his death for a good many
years. He had came to Kansas
when the state was in its infancy,
and was one of the brave pioneers
who endured the hardships to settle
the new country.
Funeral services were held at the
home at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend
Warner officiating. Burial was in the
Frankfort Cemetery, Frankfort, Ks.
