I, 38th Indiana Infantry on Sept. 18, 1861; captured at the Battle of Chickamauga in Sept. 1863; mustered out the service on Sept. 21, 1864; 2nd wife: Mary Jane Baxter (1851-1937); children w/Mary Jane: Henrietta (b. @1868), William F.
