Reuben Gage is the son of Asa and Mary Polly Bolton Gage. Reuben first married Nancy Cheney on September 19, 1813 in Jamaica, Windham, Vermont. Reuben and Nancy had at least nine children: Mary, Myron, Sarah, Cheney, Clarissa, Emily, Ruben, Isaac and Melitta Gage. His wife Nancy died in 1853 and Reuben then married Sophia Blackmar-Stone on March 9, 1856, the widow of the Rev. Arza Stone. Sophia died in 1862 and Reuben then married Susan Wheeler on January 5, 1864. Reuben lived to be the ripe old age of 91 yrs. 10 mos. 19 ds.
