Obit; Death of Rev. Caldwell
Rev. J. E. Caldwell, of Mercerville, died this Saturday morning and will be buried Sunday at 10 o'clock. All we can say now is that we have known him many years and he impressed us with being a fine old gentleman. He was about 78 years old and left sons R. M., J. N., J. S., H. C., Cavy and Will, and one daughter Mrs. W. B. Smith. His wife died about three years ago. He was a Missionary Baptist minister but had no regular charge for 5 or 6 years. He left considerable property and a good name.. Two of his sons H. C. and Cavy are in the west.
