OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)

The body of Mrs. Margaret Lois Thayer, who died Sunday morning in the Catholic Memorial hospital, Pana, Ill. has been brought to the Wire Funeral home where friends may call Monday evening.

Mrs. Thayer, a native of Wabash, had been ill for the past five years and had been seriously ill since last Christmas. She suffered from lymphatic leukemia.

The decedent was born April 8, 1914 to the late Homer Baumbauer and Mrs. Freda Baumbauer. She was graduated from Wabash High school in 1932 and prior to her marriage to W.A. Thayer she was employed at the Gamble store and the Montgomery-Ward store in Wabash of which Mr. Thayer was the assistant manager. Mr. and Mrs. Thayer moved to Huntington a few years ago and from there the family moved to Pana.

Surviving are the husband, one son, Steven, one daughter, Mary Jo, both at home; the mother, Mrs. Freda Baumbauer, Wabash; three brothers, Donald James Baumbauer, Homer Baumbauer, U.S. Marines and Charles Herbert, Wabash; and two sisters, Mrs. Louis DeWitt and Mrs. Gene Bartron, Huntington.

Funeral servcies will be held Wednesday morning with short services in the Wire Funeral home at 8:30 o'clock followed by church services at 9 o'clock in St. Bernard's Catholic church. The Rev. Leo A. Hoffmann will officiate and burial will be in Falls cemetery.
