All business houses in Humboldt were closed Friday from 2 o'clock til 3 o'clock for the funeral of Mrs Ben Wilhite, who passed away at Johnson's hospital at Chanute early Wednesday morning. The funeral was held from the Johnson funeral home, with the Rev Glen Ahlf in charge.

Mary M Galbraith was born December 14, 1909, near Springfield, Mo., the daughter of Mr and Mrs C. A. Galbraith. She moved to Kansas with her parents, and for a time resided at Wichita. For the past 20 years she has been a resident of Humboldt. She was married to Ben Wilhite in 1929. She assisted her husband in the operation of the Humboldt Bakery.

Pall bearers were Cecil Brinkmeyer, M L Brown, W R Kent, W L Drake, J C McCurdy and Walter Wulf.

Survivors include her husband, her mother, Mrs C A Galbraith, one brother, Raymond Gailbraith, Humboldt, and one sister, Mrs Norman Orme, of Kingman, Kans. Burial was in Mt Hope cemetery.
