Funeral for Edna Lucille Bates Hensley, 87, of Priceville will be Saturday, July 25, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Bro. George Harmon officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hensley, who died Thursday, July 23, 2009, at River City Nursing Home, was born Jan. 30, 1922, in Morgan County to B.E. Bates and Belvie Wood Bates Stover. She was a housewife and ran Bates Grocery after her mother retired. She belonged to Union Grove Methodist Church.
Her husband, Thomas Hensley Jr., preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Clayton Hensley (Donna); two grandchildren, Clayton Hensley (Paula) and Michelle Hensley Haigler (Brian); four great-grandchildren, Allen Reed, Heath Hensley, Connor Haigler and Harrison Haigler; and a stepsister, Christine Stover Adcock.
