Isabella was of the eighth generation in direct line of descents from Stephen Hopkins1, the Pilgrim, who came in the Mayflower in 1620. Stephen's son, Giles2, married Catherine Wheldon in 1639, and their son, Stephen3, born in 1642, resided in Harwich, Mass., where he married Mary Myrick. Their son, Joseph Hopkins4 was born in 1684; in 1707 he married Mercy Mayo, and their son, Prince Hopkins5, born in 1729, married Patience Snow in 1752 or 1753, and raised seven children: Seth, Thomas, Sarah, Joseph, Nathaniel, Prince6 and Elizabeth. Prince Hopkins6 married Phebe Morse - Lewis7 was one of their sons, and Isabella's8 father. Isabella is my 2nd Great Grandmother.
